The reason for my post was that the OP asked about parking for an overnight stop, not an extended camp. I have been RVing for many years and most folks I know do not unhook when stopped for one night unless there are other reasons to do so as have already been mentioned in this thread. Our trailers floor plan lets us access all areas of the trailer and use all features with the slide all the way in. We travelled all over and rarely unhooked unless I wanted to get fuel at a particular location that was hard to get into with the trailer attached.
I am actually surprised at the number of you who do unhook almost every time you stop for a night.
