Racorman, nice upgrades. Thanks for the pictures. I'm looking at putting a cabinet door on there also. There's not much room in the kitchen cabinets as it is. Nice place to thow extra paper towls etc. Did you get the color of the new door to match? did you get the color from the factory?
I'm looking at putting an inverter in also. I just haven't found one that I want (2000w pure sign) at a decent price. Not sure where I'll put it but there's plenty of room. I like how you mounted it overhead.
The cabinet maker made the door exactly the same size and style and matched the finish. It was just over $100 It might be cheaper to order a door from the factory, however you'll need to have the side pieces made and stained also. For me it was best to have it done locally and the stain match was perfect.
I bought the Xantrex pure sine 2000 watt inverter at West Marine for $370. Also, try to keep the inverter as close as you can to the batteries..... that's why I mounted it where I did.
Also, consider building a shelf mid way inside the right and left side cabinets..... you'll almost double your storage :W
Love this rig.......
