We finally picked up our new toyhauler. Does anyone else own the Attitude FL28AKLG I'd love to discuss the modifications I'll be doing……….

I was told by a local trailer builder/shop the middle spring equalizer should be a rectangle and not the same as the end hangers, per DOT requirements.
Mine has an end spring hanger in the middle position.

Also was told the four leaf pack springs are rated at 2200lbs each.
The same trailer builder/shop said the springs should meet or exceed the axle ratings, per DOT requirements.
Anyone have anything other than the four leaf springs in each pack from the factory ?
Begining to wonder if the shop knows what they are talking about and my trailer is not up to spec or if they are quoting old requirements or requirements that do not pertain to campers...

The bobbed triangle type center hanger is not special. Found on a lot of lippert/zieman built RV frames that have the adjustable spring location (2 holes). Suprised yours is not reinforced -are the end hangers reinforced -both sides of the U tied togeather with a plate welded between? I will try to get a picture tonight of mine.
