Okay, sorry for the barrage here. I'm back in my camper after a 6 month storage and have come up with lots of questions.
This one regards suspension. After much research and discussion, I added the Equa-flex by Lippert/Trailair. I absolutely love them! The ride, combined with the addition of my Mor/Ryde hitch and B&W fifth wheel hitch made an amazing difference.
Here is the problem I just found: When looking under the fenders, I noticed my tires have recently rubbed the underside. In one spot, the tire wore through the black moisture barrier and rubbed on the wood floor joist. No damage to the tire or wood...yet. I installed the Equaflex. I used the longer, 3 1/4" shackles to maintain the same ride height I had with the stock setup and 2 5/8" shackles. The tires never rubbed before. I'm thinking I should've put in the shorter shackles and dealt with the higher ride height. I currently measured 12'9" to the top of the A/C unit. I'm guessing the Equaflex allow more suspension movement overall.
Anyone else experience this?
I have had some tire wear issues, thus was just researching Correct Track. Anyone use this yet? I read it raises the coach by 2 inches. Be that so, it would fix my issue listed above while keeping me under the 13'4" Federal bridge height, plus fix my apparent alignment issue.
Any input?
Thanks!
