One of the early additions to my rig was a 30 amp transfer switch and a Marinco twistlock style inlet to get rid of handling the cord through a small opening ...
Great Idea! Do you have pictures? I found a Marinco twistlock here. I don't see why you would ever do it, but have you ran the generator when you were plugged into shore power? How did the switch react? Thanks. - mapguyExplorer

You could try a manual transfer switch for $70.00 here or an automatic transfer switch for $150 here.
Should be able to get a 30 amp auto switch for ~$70
Bestcoverter 30 amp

It is leaking from a joint where the shower pan, floor, and wall meet, on the far lower left if you are looking at the shower from the outside. According to Eclipse, the water enters from where the shower knobs are, then leaks down and out. It does it every time, so hopefully if you haven't seen it by now, you are in the clear.
I will watch for the leak. Thank you for the heads up. I have only had mine out on one trip and it was just an overnight so shower got used but not much. Next trip to Ocotillo is set for MLK weekend and I will watch for the leak then.adams92207 wrote:
Do all of you have to plug into the generator plug then run the cord to your twist lock shore power plug on the outside of the trailer? I found it odd that the generator is not wired to power the unit. My friend with a 2011 attitude same model does not have to do this. Was this a cost cutting measure?
I am not following you. I haven't found any twist lock plug on the outside of my mine.
The only thing I have to do, to switch from shore power to generator, is unplug from the shore power and put the cord back into it's storage compartment and plug it back in inside the compartment. It just has a standard rv plug inside there.
Do you have a pic of the twist lock plug and location of where it is on yours ? Just wondering what I should look for and where it is since mine should probably have this, since it is a 2012.

I 2nd the shower leak. Took it in its maiden voyage new years weekend and noticed the leak right by the wall and the shower pan, and plexiglass joint.
Another Item I am unsure about is when the generator is running and the furnace/heater is on, the ceiling ac/fan runs as well. When the generator is off and furnace is on, the floor heat is on with no overhead activity. Have not been able to find any info in the manuals about it yet. Is this normal operation or an electrical gremlin?

Yes I have to plug the generator in also and I was thinking the same thing that it was to save money. I have been in RV's from the 80's and did not have to plug in the shore power to get the generator to charge or run the RV - danojenoExplorerAdams it sounds like you may just have your overhead fan set to on...it's in the AC unit so it needs 110. When you shut off the genny, it too goes off. The heat will stay on since it's 12v. You may have to cycle the thermostat to "fan" and turn it off.

What is leaking (drain, faucet, shower head, ect...) ?
Where is it leaking (inside, underneath, ect..) ?
I will watch mine for said leak.
Thanks ! - danojenoExplorerI've had a pesky shower leak and some other minor issues so I brought mine to the factory service center. Chris over there said the shower has a now known leak issue. Anyone else had the shower leak?...Did you get it fixed?
