Those Cougars are their Lite, or Half Ton, series. As is mine, and actual height at the A/C is 12'-2".
The key may be the units designed for light weight. Shorter height is one of the ways they reduce weight. If you don't prefer the Cougar, look for the lite series from any of the brands. That works well with your preference for shorter sizes.
