Let me clarify...
Your predator gen is fine.
As with all generators you have two windings. Using the 120/240 outlet your a/c is pulling from one side of the generator. One winding is 1600 watts and the other winding is 1600 watts. Hence a 3200 watt gen that you have.
That is why it trips. Not enough watts..
In summary when you plug into that gen 1600 watts @ 120v supply one side of your TT panel and 1600 watts @ 120v supply the other side of the TT panel.....
You need a bigger generator...
Also when the a/c tries to start since its pulling from one winding the gen must vibrate something terrible...Thats when you have an unbalanced load..
