dBa is an acoustical power rating which doubles every 3 dB. Twice the amount of sound would be a rating of 76dBa. But, it's more complicated than a straight formula and depends on specific frequencies, etc. The best way to determine the noise level of a couple of generators would be to measure them while running with an audio real time analyzer (RTA). It shouldn't be higher than 76 dB though.
