- LwiddisExplorer IIReviews I’ve read are mixed to not good.
- ScottGNomadWhats important is that you personally don't have any severe problems with it.
All travel trailers are thrown together with junk parts. - Me_AgainExplorer IIILandmark, Big Horn and Big Country are their three top line models. These three go down the same production line and share components. We bought a 2017 Big Horn because it was 20-30K less than a Landmark and just a little more than a Big Country that does not have a rear cap.

My 2011 Big Horn has been great. A few warranty issues that Heartland paid with no problems. Their Customer service Dept. is outstanding. Was able to resolve issues right over the phone. i.e water leak under kitchen sink. I requested just the part that needed replacing, Heartland said they would just send me a whole new kitchen faucet & parts and would pay the RV Technician labor costs. I was not required to just take my RV to only a Heartland Dealer/repair. If I recommended this technician, that was good enough. Would buy another Big Horn in the future:) - topjimmyExplorerThey are all pretty much the same in build quality IMO,Just find a good dealer and go for it,it's a **** shoot with quality these days , been full timing for 7 years now and have talked to ALOT of owners of different brands I have heard good and bad stories about Heartland just like my Montana as well

I've been told they build lots of high quality 5th wheels & used a lot of this quality of building in the Pioneer travel trailers & so the Pioneer RL 250 that I'm buying shares the build quality?
By whom? A salesperson LOL?
No more quality, or less, than any other brand. The support after the sale may be better,......or worse, than other brands under the Thor umbrella, as Heartland still operates more independently than some of the others. They would need to work at it to get as bad and non responsive as Keystone or the brands Thor handed over to Keystone for customer service, such as Dutchmen.
Personally back in 13 I looked hard at Heartlands North Trail line, and found the fit and finish left a little to be desired from the Keystone and Jayco products we were comparing it against at the time. - lee_worsdellExplorerbuddy has a landmark pricey trailer but has had minor problems . He loves it
- NorthernNeck_VAExplorerI have a 2013 Landmark San Antonio and love it! Minor problems here and there but overall a very good unit.
- sljkansasExplorerWe have a 2008 Big Horn Fifth Wheel and have enjoyed enjoyed it so much.that we sold the house and live in the year round. We did have a couple of things that needed adjusted, and the Dealer fixed the same day
- ACZLExplorerIf your looking at the high end HL's, me again said it right in terms of the pecking order. Can kinda look at this in another way. Landmark = Cadillac, Big Horn = Buick, Big Country = Chevy. We bought a BC last year and love it. Yes had a issue that HL took care of and the floorplan/features/astetics sold us. Case in point. We have the 2nd fireplace in bedroom. Landmark does as well. Ours looks better IMO. Do like the ceiling lighting in the bedroom of the LM. Folks have probs w/ 150K and up coaches, so no-one is immune.
FWIW, I like GMC over a Chevy.
