Does trailer connector need to be in pick up box

Getting a new f250. On my past two trucks, I have had a 7 pin connector inside the pick up truck box. The 5th wheel trailer I now have has the Reese Revolution hitch (similar to the Sidewinder). I ...

Use either that you're happy with.

Sidetracking a bit...My in-bed plug came in handy as a charge station for stuff we didn't want inside cluttering up as we drove. GPS, phones, jet pack, 2 kindles, etc. To many things to plug in now days.
