Gosh, we downsized from a 25' fifth wheel to an 8' camper :B
Kept the fifth wheel though, for those extended destination trips.
The camper is for backcountry exploring, travelling along goat/moose trails.
Our fifth wheel is perfect for us even though it is more than 10 years old and has no slides. It is well-maintained and good as new as far as we're concerned. Which is why we are keeping it. It would be very difficult to replace it now. When we're old and creaky and can't crawl into the camper bed, we figure we'll be returning to using the fifth wheel.
It took a lot of time to find a quality-built fifth wheel that met our specs. I invested three years in my search for THE one. And we still have it and it is still perfect.
