Not sure about the hitch part , but even though I have been an OTR Driver for 37 plus years, the first thing I installed on our Pullrite hitch was a BlueOx Bed Saver. Money well spent for us , and it works!! I tested it out , purposely to see , and it does as promised. No matter what happens IMHO that would be a good addition for you. Murphy's law for me is that if I didn't have it I would've dropped the coach by now, but now with the BedSaver I probably won't.... hopefully.
