Well it could depending on how low your pin box hits the hitch head. This is my gripe with both the Blue OX and the Butch's latch, is they require that the pin box be fairly high, which could lead to high pining.
I believe when hooking up you disengage/pull back Butch's latch which gives you a clear path to the hitch plate. Once hooked up, you slide Butch's latch into place. Adds an extra step to hooking and unhooking.
