Electric brakes blow fuse??

If bad wiring or brake magnets cause the fuse to open, you will lose braking on the trailer, in the mean time if you have to hit something, hit something cheap.

Brakes on the TV still unction.

Define "total" brake failure. Of course it will on the trailer. But will not affect the TV.

It did on my Springdale Travel Trailer. I had one wire that was rubbing for one wheel, and it caused the brake control to malfunction. It took 3 trips to the repair shop before they found the spot on the wire that was rubbing. So ya, I had 3 experiences towing home with no brakes with my previous trailer.
