The Sat cable for the Tailgater has to be a direct run from the sat to the receiver or the system will not work. This leaves me having to run the cable through this box and feeding it up to the shelf. The box will also double as a pass through for the cord on the fireplace when it gets installed. I plan to cut the end off the cord and feeding it through the hole and then putting a new end on inside the box so I can pull it out and plug and extension cord on and place it back in the box and close the cover to keep out rain.
