What you smell is the chemicals in many of the materials off-gassing. The addition of deodorants, ammonia, vinegar, etc. may mask the odor but will not stop it. Even an ionizer will remove the gasses in the air but will not stop off-gassing so the odor will return. The off-gassing usually is from the wall paneling and upholstery. The best defense is to air out..let the gasses escape as they off-gas. Gradually, the gasses will diminish until no longer recognizable. Leaving the RV tightly closed keeps the gasses trapped in the RV.
X2 Airing it out seems to be the only way.
