I only meant to say that regardless of tire type, I think that the trailer maker's specifications per the load carrying capacity of the tires should govern the O.P.'s choices in that department.
Probably a more reasonable way to look at this subject would be to ensure the tires to be fitted have enough capacity ( and reserve ) to be compatible with the load capacity of the axles, and be within the actual weight bearing on the axles, and on individual tire positions.
A trip to the scales is the only way to know what these weights are.
