There really is no downside, as noted my Pullrite Capture Plate is held on with 4 set screws. I literally can remove it in less then 5 minutes and my trailer can be towed by any 5th whell hitch. So in reality my trailer can be towed by a standard 5er hitch or a superglide hitch. which means I even have more options then most.
Which it just took the OP a few to figure out. Obviously they are now and have learned a great del about htere Superglide and Capture plate, The Hard Way....
