We have both an Excel Winslow with the slide entry and an Open Range TT with the raised deck and sliding glass door in our Winter Texan park. The steps into the Winslow are surprisingly easy to negotiate. I haven't measured the rise, but it didn't seem too bad at all. Sure does make for a lot of room in the living area of the trailer. The deck on the Open Range takes a little while to set up and tear down with most of the time used in putting up the railing. The deck itself folds up against the side of the trailer in pretty short order. Sure is a nice place to sit on a warm afternoon. I don't think I'd mind having either one of them.
