Two batteries 90+% charged should last the night just fine running the furnace at about 65 degrees.
Yes the batteries will be low on charge in the morning. Yes you need to run the generator. But go ahead and sleep in a bit.
A good charge will take 2 to 6+ hours of generator time.
Second night could be the issue unless you get back to 90% before you turn in. Many (most?) converters are rather slow with just a 13.6 volt trickle charge. If you have a 10+ amp portable charger... bring it an use it while the generator is running. No need to disconnect anything. Just slap it on.
