I got a signal from the sensor...about a half second after it blew. But that's not surprising, there was nothing to signal until the tire blew, dropping the psi to 0 instantly. With the system being new I kept constant attention to it, watching how the temps and psi rose.
My trailer had a metal plate in the wheel well above the tires causing zero damage in that area. Having seen various pictures of blown tires with electrical wires and water lines hanging down I was happy that someone had the sense to plate it up there.
Or maybe they knew something????
Yes, you're right, our sensor too went off when the tire blew, but not before hand.
