Extreme megalite

Hello everyone I'm new to the toy hauler scene and any input would be appreciated. I purchased a 08 extreme warrior mega lite 25st. Love the trailer and all the amenities. Only problem is after my impulse buy I found out the the cargo capacity is 800lbs once loaded with fresh water. I'm looking at buying a xp41000 and that would put me way over the cargo capacity. I have searched online for months on beefing up the frame to be able to add more weight and haven't been able to find anything. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Is this a lost cause and should i take the loss on this trailer I financed?

  • Another thought, contact the guys at SoCal RV Doctor they've helped a number of people out here with major repairs. I know one of their key people that helped with WW issues left and stated his own business. Perhaps one of our members will post his contact info.
  • Thanks again Y-Guy I'll give them a call today and post as soon as I get an answer
  • plasencia87, I am pretty sure there is some relation between the companies, I recall that Mark Warmouth purchased 100 percent of Rage'n from National RV and 50 percent of Extreme RV. Extreme Warrior is Mark's company now, name changes make it hard to keep track of things. Mark is now also part of Omega RV or EW has been taken over by Omega - I'm not totally sure. However I'd say it's worth a phone call to find out and see if anyone there might, in the off chance, be able to help you with your question. If it doesn't make sense, Mark was the founder/owner of Weekend Warrior when things crashed he landed in multiple places, but he's still around making RVs somewhere.
  • Thanks Y-Guy, the trailer is made by extreme rv I'm not sure if that's the same company as extreme warrior but there logo is different and when I explor there web page the trailer models from 2008 are completely different.
  • plasencia87, have you spoken with Extreme Warrior about the trailer? (208) 806-0243
  • I've heard of people reinforcing frames on Weekend warriors due to wall sagging and tounge issues. But I can't seem to find anyone doing frame work to achieve more cargo capacity
  • Thanks downtheroad it's been hard trying to find any specs on this trailer. But there's a sticker inside the trailer Trailer that has everything broken down.
    Gvwr- 8350lb
    Uvw- 6310lb
    Fresh water 106gallons-883lb
    Propane- 30lb
    CCC-1126lb
Sorry I was wrong on the 800lbs but that still leaves me over not including the luggage
  • Found these specs:

    Slides 0
    Length 29 ft 5 in
    Ext Width 8 ft
Ext Height 10 ft 5 in
    Exterior Color White
    Hitch Weight 710 lbs
    Gross Weight 8000 lbs
    Dry Weight 5005 lbs
    Cargo Weight 3400 lbs
    Fresh Water Capacity 100 gals
    Grey Water Capacity 35 gals

Says you have a cargo weight of 3400 lbs.
Even if you top off with water (100 gallons) that's about 900 lbs.

So...I'm confused where you are getting only 800 lbs of cargo capacity remaining - even if you load up you trailer with the normal gear, etc.
