Actually the procedure is pretty simple. But from my experience and what I've seen from some pictures on here, some of the issues with grease leaking past the seals could very well be due to seals being damaged when the hubs are initially assembled.
My bearing surfaces were pretty badly nicked and gouged, but I had no issues with leaking grease even though I've used the EZ Lube feature a couple times since I've owned the trailer. I was lucky that the damage wasn't located at a seal lip area.
One guy on here posted some pictures of his hubs and the shape of his grease seal area was horrible: large gouges and big dings that could easily damage a grease seal lip. So I'm thinking that complaints of leaking grease seals could be caused by grease seals being damaged during initial installation of parts at the factory.
