Fabex pin box

Does anyone out there have a Fabex 730 pin box that they would be willing to take some measurements from? Fabex is currently out of business.

My 5er has one on it. when we bought it we bought a Pull Rite superglide hitch. The dealership welded the universal plate to my pin box. Complaint got me an adapter to use in case of emergency.

Attempting to sell the trailer but not many are interested in the hitch. I need to remove the welded plate and get the proper capture plate from pull rite. They need specific measurements, that will be impossible to get with the welded plate in place, to tell me if they have a capture plate for that pin box or if the universal is the only option.

Or I buy a new/used pin box to sell the trailer. Anyone have one from an upgrade Lippert 1116 is what the mfg recommends.

  • Doesn't this chart tell you what you need?

  • I think Morryde sells some Fabex pin boxes. I just ordered a Fabex 770 I installed it last month. Just fyi
  • If nobody wants the Pull Rite hitch..you don't need a capture plate. Just remove the capture plate that it has and it will work with a std. hitch. The capture plate adds a wedge that is needed to lock it in place on the Super Glide hitch..

  • It looks to be 12.5 inches square with the ball mounted in the center.
  • Thank you again but the information I need is not listed there.

I need the dimensions of the area surrounding the king pin front to back side to side and king pin to front.
  • Thanks Bud, I need the dimensions of the plate and distance from kingpin to front lip.
