Glad you did the proper "Homework and research". Amazing at the details that you see during assembly. Things like crimped duct work and spaghetti wiring compared to how things should be done or how I would do them. Please add the other plants that you toured. Don't need the in depth good/bad but interested in knowing where you went for perspective of what was being compared.
I toured Newmar, Travel Supreme, Carriage, and DRV back in 2008. Seen a few things at 2 of the 4 that partially explains why 2 are now gone and 1 stopped building 5th wheels. Grand Design really caught my eye last spring at the Detroit RV show for construction and value. I have been watching their website and seen that they delivered their 1000th unit a few weeks back. Not bad for a company that produced unit # 1 in November 2012. Randu
