fading front cap on 2016 Crusader 5er

I have a 2016 Crusader 295 that I've had for 4 months. This is our 1st new camper and we love it. However, I noticed that the front cap looks like it is fading at the top where it curves toward the roof. I got up there thinking it was just dirty but it didn't wipe off. Sorry no pics...it's storming here now. I plan on calling my dealer but I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this. It is not under cover yet but I'm planning it soon. Nevertheless, it shouldn't do this after only 4 months. I hate thinking I spent $35K on something that is already making me question this brand.

Why is that exactly? Why are websites afraid of holding manufacturers accountable? Is the advertising dollars they are afraid of losing?

RV Daily did an 8 part rant about the problems in the RV industry and this censoring of any efforts to hold manufacturers accountable seems to back up the RV Daily argument.

You would need to ask the Administration that question. Members or moderators have no knowledge of the "Why".

As many on here we went through this. We chose not to put graphics back on and had the front cap painted the same color as the body. The body shop panted two front stripes for us in lieu of graphics. This was all done under warranty by jayco.

That looks really nice, starcraft69. I =hate= those dark caps (and dark colors, in general) on RVs, and feel that all they do is to just heat up the interior more.

Guess who hosts (and pays for) this site? Yup, the Emperor Marcus, his own self. Not sure if the FR site is hosted by FR, but if so, it's their ball and they can set the rules. Don't like it, start your own site. Not saying I agree, but that's the game. I =like= the series of articles that Greg wrote about issues in the industry and, while I don't agree 100%, I =do= agree about 95% with what he said. The fact that Greg has also been "disinvited" to a number of industry functions the past couple years, while other, more "kissy-kissy" journalists have been, also says something about the job he's doing, IMO.

I have absolutely no idea. I could guess that in a litigious society the owners of this board don't want to be named and/or drawn into every consumer complaint and law suit that is put forward against a manufacturer. I know I wouldn't either. But that is just a guess. Conspiracy and cover up? Now we're RV xfiles. If that were the case the word lippert would appear as ********. It doesn't.

No, even the white ones do this but its not as noticeable as the dark colors. My 2yr old 5er front cap is white and is getting rough/dull/chalky texture near the top of the front cap.

You are correct. Exact same issues in the same location. Mine is like thatc and many others I see.
