I know this is an old post but I have exactly the same issue with my trailer being nose high. I'd like to cut the wings off and give myself 3-4 inches extra room to lower the pinbox. Structurally it looks sound . Has anyone cut the wings to solve this problem?
I replaced the slider base with regular base and lowered it 1.5". Had the local trailer(not rv)guy raise the rear 2" by using lower holes and welding 2" extensions for the equalizers.
I would also like to know the answer to your question, not that it would help me now.
