Manual. Bought it used this year. On the way home after picking it up, noticed very little braking from the trailer. Had my RV mechanic lube bearings, replace seals, and adjust the brakes right after I got it home. He doesn't think any of that had been done before and it's 8 or 9 years old, but showed no sign of wear and plenty of grease was in the bearings. However, the brakes took a lot of adjustment, so much so after my first trip out after he adjusted them he re-adjusted them again.
