This is one reason I like the PullRite style of super rails that go under the bed and bolt to through the sides of the frame and have the pedestal pins through the bed. My in bed mounting rails nor my hitch touch the bed itself. I just sold my '99 F250. Took out the hitch and rails to refurbish and sell as a complete kit for a '99-'11 Ford. So far the hitch has just needed a little sanding and paint. The under-bed rails need a lot of cleaning due to New England winters. I guess it was a good thing I used stainless hardware and anti-seize on the threads. It came off without any difficulty.
Anybody need a 16k traditional SuperGlide. I have a CL add in CT.
