Fifth wheel hitch - rail bending and pulling up truck bed

We have a sliding hitch (husky 26k) in our Ford 250, short bed. We pull a 37 foot cedar creek with it. The problem we just noticed is that our rail that sits closest to the truck cab has bent up and...

Well we took our truck to our local truck/ hitch guy. He said they never hooked the rail to the truck frame. He is having a guy that does custom welding in to look at it. He seemed pretty positive they can fix the problem. Thanks again to all of you that weighed in on our problem.
