Fifth wheel hitch suggestion

So I have bought the new truck 2018 ram 3500 dually 8’ bed and new fifth wheel Durango Gold 384RLT, now need suggestion for hitch, do not want to go by dealer suggestion. So what would be best fit for hitch?

Again thanks for everyone’s help in making my decision

Hopefully you got the factory GN/FW hitch prep. Either way, I'll also throw my vote for the B&W Companion. Heavy-duty hitch and a great company that stands behind it.

If your new truck has the 5th wheel prep, it is had to go wrong with the B&W RVK3600.
  • dapperdan has it right, the one in picture is the one you need. It is not only well built, but is very user friendly. It will hookup/disconnect easily at any angle, but has solid, no rattle connection.

  • I have used the Ram OE 25K hitch for 5 years now, no isssues
  • We have a MORryde pin box on our Suites and I bought a B & W when we bought the '15 RAM. Best hitch I've ever owned! I've owned Reese and Draw Tite previously but the B & W is built to higher standards IMHO. I LOVE it. :B

  • Moryede pin box with Husky 26K Hitch. The KZ should have the pin box and heres the hitch: http://www.huskytow.com/product/16k-w-26k-w/

I pull a KZ with that hitch and the combination works great, no chucking, easy hitch/unhitch, closed indictor. The down side is it is heavy.
  • B&W, Reese, Curt, Pullrite, and other name brands all make very good hitches and all have their fans. Air ride hitches are great but considerably more expensive. But what is a few more dollars when you have already spent 10’s of thousands for an RV. Air ride pin boxes can also soften the ride on a standard hitch.
  • Air ride hitch, dual pivot head. All else is hype. My original hyjacker hitch is still going strong after 13 years.
