Fifth wheel Hitch troubleshooting

Hello My Patriot 16k hitch is not locking the jaws all the way around the pin. I have to force the handle in to lock it.. I never had this issue before. Any thoughts on what could be causing this ? ...

I agree I'm pushing 90,000 miles on my Companion it's getting a little sticky looking at a complete cleaning.

This is no different than some of the posters here saying a 3/4 ton has a semi floating rear, a 1 ton a full floating. Reality is, I have had 25 series/3/4 tons with both full and semi floating axels. Many SW 35 series rigs, are really DOT class 2 trucks, IE 6001-10000 gvwr with 9900 GVWR's!
