Fifth wheel investment

We are contemplating on purchasing a 2013 Dutchmen Denali 262RLX (27') in Alberta and are a little concerned as to whether this is truly a good unit to invest in. Previously, we were looking at the Jayco 26RLS due to presently owning a 2011 24FB travel trailer which has proven to be a truly marvellous unit. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might a good fifth rv as we are retiring and want to see Canada during the summer months. Certainly appreciate any assistance in this.

  • Agree with the others. Having said that I'd be favouring jayco over Dutchmen. Also have a look at the Crusader at General RV. Just bought a 295rst and like it very much.
  • When you get an RV it is not an investment. It is a purchase of something that, hopefully, gives you pleasure, but losses monetary value rapidly.
  • It's disposable like a car or truck, not to be considered an 'investment'. Enjoy your trailer whichever you decide on but realize it will depreciate to nothing in 20 yrs.
