Fifth wheel slide issue

I have a 2012 coachmen 320 rlts and noticed wires hanging down under
The slide once I pulled it in . I put the slide out to get a better look and there is a flat plastic piece about 4-5" wide that runs perpendicular with the slide and is connected to the slide and trailer . It has wires that run backs and forth through it.it looks like it protects the wires when the slide moves . It is broke at the frame . Does anyone know what this is called so I can find a replacement. I can replace it myself if I could find one on the Internet . Looks like a poor design and it may break again. Anyone have any other ideas how to fix?
  • The plastic thing is from Lippert. They don't last. I used a common door hinge bolted to the plastic and the frame which lasted 3 years til I sold the trailer.
  • Sounds like the zip ties are the best way to go . I can always count on this forum for answers.

Common problem. Some have attached metal hinges to the broken end of the plastic and attached the other side to the metal frame.
The way mine broke I drilled 3 holes in the broken ends and used 3 large wire (zip) ties to hold the broken ends together a couple years ago. When (if) they break I will just use more ties.
