Fill in fresh water tank

Update: we stopped at a roadside and I checked the fresh drain. Valve is shut. I turned it and water came out. The indicator light shows it is empty but I now believe it is full and water running out overflow. Brother-in-law is behind us and said every time we go up hill water spills out. We’ve been camping with no issues for 10 days and are on the way home to Texas from Colorado. We used bottled water to flush while traveling to Colorado (didn’t want a lot of extra weight in the mountains going up) but wanted to fill tank a little for ride home. I guess it’s full but pump will not prime to use water. We have lever turned to gravity. We will keep using bottled water while on the road and check out pump when we get home. Thanks again everyone.
