It was good the OP posted back, with actual weight findings.
I think he knows it is not the right tool for the job. However, it is what he has. I think the truck can be made to work, but everyone knows the rating won't change.
It would not make financial sense to trade for a 350 SRW at this time. I am not saying it is okay, but the 250, beefed up, will probably get the job done.
