Finished installing Kodiak 6K disc brakes

Well it took me a while due to rain, but its done, and I really like the way it stops now, and I also have 6k Timken races, and bearings, instead of the China ones that came with it.
The only downside is the 1 to 2 second delay, but I'll get used to that. Thanks for all the advice to switch to disc brakes.
  • There is a Very slight delay due to the pump kicking in, noticeable when braking hard. It's like ba-bam, a fraction of a second. I had mine done by Performance Trailer Braking, and the installer said that's how it is.

  • No problems with my CHINA brakes to date.
I could switch to German brakes. What is your opinion on German brakes?

I've never noticed a delay with mine. It may be that I just haven't noticed or could it be that you have air in your system?
