For those of you that have fireplaces do they really heat well?

a waste of space/weight/ and money. a $17 cube heater from walmart puts out the same heat. if you like phony ambiance, go for it. saw one years back in a truck camper. if there is any thing that you need less weight, more storage in it would be a TC.
