They do take the chill off and work maybe as well as any 1500 watt space heater. We did not have one in the 06 3400 Montana and I enjoyed the extra storage space. We do have one in the 13 3402 Big Sky and it is a waste of space but it is pretty to look at. We had a space heater in the 06 and it was always in the way. We do use it on those chilly Florida mornings and it does warm up the rear of the RV. It sure was not worth the $$$ just to take the chill off the Rv..... But it is only money///////
