For those of you that have fireplaces do they really heat well?

We would never be without ours. Dutch installed one in our Carriage years ago. Very quiet and efficient for those cold mornings or evenings. It if is really cold, we close the door to our bedroom and the heat from the fireplace travels to the door then back giving us lovely warmth. I also enjoy just looking at the fire. Hugs, Di
