You bring up another good point! It does get hot in the cabinets above and beside our fridge. I try to not latch the cabinet doors tight and just let them sit against the latch leaving the door open about a finger width gap. Not only does this help the food stored in these cabinets, it helps dissipate some heat produced by the fridge.
