First tow with 5th wheel

I have towed my 31' travel trailer for years and have gotten used to the trailer very well. Even with the Equalizer WD/sway bars on tight when semi trucks pass me fast they pull the trailer over. I just towed a 37' 15K GVWR 5th wheel (work) and was amazed at the stability of the trailer. Actually I towed a 35' TT 10K GVWR the same day with the Husky WD bars and the experience between the 2 were night and day. I also love the simplicity of hitching and the fact I could see the hitch when backing up saving me time of getting out and looking at. I told the DW that we might have to upgrade in the near future now!

    Yup, I tow just about every kind of trailer and my 30 foot fiver is just a pleasure to tow when we are camping

    I love my fifth wheel, and will never go back to a bumper pull trailer.

    rowekmr I agree a fiver tows better right out of the box vs. a TT. However your TT can tow just as well with a Hensley or Propride hitch.
    Your comments about being sucked in by the 18 wheelers is one of the biggest benefits of a Hensley.
    My 39' 10.5K loaded TT with a HA hitch towed just as well as my current 5'er.
    Many are skeptical and don't believe the premium hitches work. However now that you just towed a fiver you are at that enlightened stage now that you have experienced how much better it could be.
    A premium hitch will give you the same enlightenment as a fiver.
    The catch is most feel their combo's are as stable as possible until they experience something that is a day vs night improvement. You have had the experience a now realise/understand how much better the tow could be.

    I'm not trying to discourage you from going to a fiver. I moved from a TT to a fiver and it has been great.
    But I just want to point out that a premium hitch will give you that same "Day vs. night" "A-Ha" moment that you experienced towing a fiver
