I love the comfort and towing experience of my Chevy 2500 Duramax....but my 2014 Ram DRW CTD is an absolute towing beast! As I type this, I'm about to go pick up one my 17,000 pound backhoes and tow it home for a weekend of farm use. That truck will never meet its match with anything that we "should" be towing.
I've owned mine since 2015 and have right at 100K miles on it. Other than basic maintenance, the only significant thing I've had to do is replace the y-fitting at the top of the radiator (and related hoses and coolant flush). Fortunately, I took it to the shop to have this done at the same time as about 6 recalls. One of those recalls included the catalytic converter (which was the original reason I took it to the shop). The truck had only about half power (so equivalent with most current powerstrokes), but fortunately the CC was covered under a recall.
