First Trailer and First Post

Hey everyone this is my first post on here and am very excited about joining the ranks. I have never towed anything other then some dump trailers. This is my first trailer and it's a 5er. A brand new 2013 Heartland Prowler 31 TBS. You can't see it in the pictures but it has 3 slides and an outdoor kitchen. Overall length is 36' 10". GVWR is 13000. I am taking it on it's first trip this week. Thanks for all the help so far.

  • Very nice rig. I just have one question. Was the hitch put in by a professional installer?? The heads of the bolts look funny to me and I don't think I ever saw a connector in the middle of the rails. I hope that the rails are connected to the frame of the truck. Just want you to be safe.
    Good luck and happy camping.
  • uh...hemmmm... where are the pics of the other stuff... inside, outside outdoor kitchen... holy geez, you are burning daylight!!!

  • You have a beautiful rig there!
Take it slow, and enjoy the weekend! You don't want to rush, and have something happen that will spoil things.
Practice backing (unless you already have a "pull-through" site:)), with someone, so that you are ready for the weekend......a big difference between that 5er and a dump-trailer:)

    Happy Camping:)
  • Woohoo!

    Nice rig you have there!
    Welcome.

    We're Heartland owners also.
Great company to deal with IMO.
