I defiantly need a tire that'll hold up with this unit being on 2 axles and so much weight on the 4 tires. I'm also wondering if I'd be able to get away with only buying 2 decent new ones right now and another 2 next season as I've only got 500km on them so far.
HOLY CRUMBS! I assumed it was a tri-axle with a close to 17000lb gross weight. My old trailer was under 15000 loaded and I didn't feel comfortable with ANY tire until I put Goodyear G614s on it.
IMHO NO E rated ST tire will survive on your trailer. I had many blow outs, bulges, wavy treads etc before the G614s, none after.
Get prepared to shell out $400 per tire but it's worth it.
I have LT tires on my current, and much heavier rig, but it's a tri-axle.
