I've got the Pullrite Superlite hitch (basically, an upside-down Andersen where the ball is on the trailer and the cup in in the truck bed).
I wrote to Pullrite asking if safety chains were needed, and their response was that it was still considered a fifth wheel hitch and did not need them.
