Regarding the easy on and off, it really relieves a lot of stress for me getting the 5er in tight spots as it is so easy to lift the trailer off the ball and reposition the truck.
Having had both style of hitches, I don't see any advantage to the Andersen in this scenario
IMO I would think the Andersen would be somewhat of a disadvantage, to have unhitch reposition ,and hitch back up. first needing to get the fifth wheel higher to unhitch, and then alignment is a little bit more critical to hitch back up. Seems in a tight spot a conventional hitch might have the advantage .
