We always travel with 1/3 tank about 20 gal. We may pull in a rest stop but DW always uses our facilities.
We have learned to fill the fresh water tank if we're staying in one place for several days. Experience of lost city water or wells do to power outages or broken pipes or maintenance or just too many folks lowering pressure taking showers.
