I am new to the forum enjoy reading all the good stuff. I have a 2017 keystone couger 26rls lite with a flat tire can I use the front jacks and the rear stabilizer to remove tire. Thanks.
Not a very good idea, it puts a lot of stress on the frame that it wasn't designed to handle. Get a decent bottle jack, or a Trailer Aid you'd be better off.
They are stabilizer JACKs so yes, they will lift - I've done it but only at one end when I was in some soft dirt on the side of the highway and had no choice. I would not want to lift an entire side that way. Also, if you force them to lift more than they want, the jack screw will bend and it will never be the same. You should get yourself a bottle jack for these eventualities.
If I am using a jack I have the front legs down or it is attached to the truck. I do not use the rear stabilizers as they are not in position or designed to hold much weight.
I prefer my home built ramp using a cut up 2x6. Loosen lugs, run good tire up the ramp, put on spare, you're done. Stabilizers are for...stabilizing...not lifting. Yes, I also carry a bottle jack.
It does not matter if your front legs are down or if you are hooked up to your truck. Mine is sitting on a bottle jack right now as I am doing the brakes.I put the jack under the axle on the bottom of the spring between the u bolts.
