Floor repair and new vinyl in the WW

Maybe this should be in WW repairs but, I had some water damage in my 04 WW fs3000 so I decided to fix it, at the same time I ditched the carpet and the checkerboard vinyl and replaced it with one solid sheet of Armstrong vinyl flooring. The couch and old chairs didn't match good but everything else did, I added some corner round and in that week found some perfect condition TIKI edition swivel rockers for 2 hundred bucks on CL so I will be reuphoulstering the sofa and rockers in grey or black leather to match better. It is so much better, I open the back, plug in the leaf blower and blow it out. I think it adds a modern touch to an old trailer, next will be getting rid of the gold cabinet hardware for brushed nickel.

  • the floor looks nice. I have painted floor in the garage in my Weekend Warrior with removable carpet and the linoleum is coming loose in the kitchen.

I wonder if you find the linoleum slick when you are loading a motorcycle?
  • I bought a 25x12 piece as I didnt wan't any seams, I cut it perfect at the rear, I also removed all the tie downs and then cut them out after, and I glued it all down, I did have help from a friend who does flooring for a living. I actually bought a new transition for the back but never used it. If you are going to do it buy the best high quality linolium you can get, I got mine at wholsale and it still cost 500 bucks (100.00 of that shipping)
  • Nicely done. I need to repair a spot in my floor. I have vinyl (I'm assuming) flooring in there now. As far as getting to the wood, easy to do...cut the vinyl and replace the wood. But as far as replacing the vinyl, how do I do that in one piece? My toy hauler is open, so I'd have to replace it in one huge, 14'x8.5 section. How do you tuck it under the metal lip (frame) near the ramp door without screwing up the rest of it?
  • Nice job. Thanks for sharing.
I like your Security System. :)
  • Had to redo the tub/shower surround in our hauler this year too, floor was beefed up, fortunately no water damage cause i caught it ahead of time.

Everyone needs to be aware of this problem, thanks.
